Getting Started Developing on Open edX

After spending the past couple of weeks digging into Open edX and trying to wrap my head around the enormity of the project, I came across some documents that I WISH I had watched/read first.

I'm hoping to document my progress learning Open edX over the next few blog posts to assist anyone else who is tasked with diving into Open edX development.

I really wish I had seen the talk below before I installed Open edX Devstack. It would have helped immensely in understanding how everything fits together. Especially considering my Microsoft focused past experience. :)

The talk below was given at the 2018 Open edX Conference held in Montreal. The slides for the presentation can be found here. Those that are familiar with Docker, can skip the first 10 minutes of the talk.
